Terear, the passionate and creative force behind Jaria’s Parties & Events (J.P.E.),is a seasoned event planner with an unwavering dedication to creating unforgettable experiences. As the founder of J.P.E, she has built a reputation for excellence, driven by her love for meeting new people, embracing endless opportunities, and witnessing the sheer joy on clients’ faces when they see the final, meticulously crafted product.
A single mom of one, Terear named her business after her daughter, Jaria, symbolizing the personal touch and commitment that defines J.P.E.

Terear’s journey in event planning began early in life, as she was consistently elected class party planner from preschool straight up to highschool. She took pride in organizing these parties with Happy Meals from McDonald’s, party bags and everything between.
She was always the go-to person for all events. Her organizational and event planning skills continued to shine brightly as she orchestrated memorable events from family functions to work soirees.
Terear’s innovative spirit and forward-thinking approach were evident even in her early years. In 1994, she orchestrated a birthday party for her baby sister at the Botanical Gardens in downtown Nassau which was the “talk of the town”. The standout feature was a stunning Barbie cake, where Terear collaborated with a local baker to create a masterpiece with an actual Barbie doll as the base and its dress constructed entirely out of cake. This early display of creativity foreshadowed Terear’s future success in the event planning industry.
Prior to fully embracing her passion for events, she gained diverse professional experience and demonstrated leadership and organizational skills in each of her former corporate roles. She served as a Retail Store Manager, then transitioned to a Financial Assistant role at a leading global manufacturing company, followed by time spent as an Internal Auditor at a retail conglomerate. However, her heart remained in event planning. She decided to purchase a concession trailer as a side hustle quote unquote, which outfitted numerous birthday parties and corporate events with concession treats. Little by little, she dove deeper into event planning and eventually made the leap to pursue her true calling full-time.
Terear’s story is a testament to her passion for event planning and the industry’s magnetic pull on her. She realized that her true gift lied in creating memorable moments for others.
